Privacy Notice
This Privacy Notice is based on the "Mexican Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties" 【Ley Federal de Protección de Datos Personales en Posesión de los Particulares (LFPDPPP)】and other related laws and regulations in the United Mexican States. Kawasaki Motores de México, S.A de C.V. (hereinafter referred to as "our company"), establishes the handling of personal information that it obtains, uses, and manages. This Privacy Notice serves as a record of the approval for the personal information and processing of personal information that our company obtains.
This Privacy Notice (“Notice”) explains how we collect, use, and share your information when you interact with us through our websites, mobile apps, online services (the “Sites”), or offline, such as in person, by phone, or at events. It also covers information received from dealers, distributors, service providers, business partners, and other third-party sources. Certain Web Sites, products, services, or vehicles may have separate or additional privacy notices. Please refer to those notices for specific information.

1. Collection of Personal Information
Our company may request personal information directly for you, automatically collected by internet activity, other network or devices, or received from our Distributors and/or final users, including name, address, date of birth, gender, phone number, email address, and other information of the product purchased, and/ or the received. Except for some mandatory fields, the provision of information is voluntary. Upon requesting personal information, customers will immediately be presented with this Privacy Notice, as required by law, which explains the purposes of data processing and informs them of their rights regarding their personal data usage and its purposes.
2. Purposes of Using Personal Information
The personal information provided by customers will be used for the following purposes in our company's business:
- To provide information about our company's products, services, and events.
- To provide our company's products and services to customers (including but not limited to maintenance services and/or preventive services).
- To inform about Recalls, improvement measures, and service campaigns related to our company's products.
- To confirm the status of customer service with our business partners, dealers, distributors, Kawasaki group companies, who handle our company's products and services.
- To collect and analyze information about our company's products and services and conduct marketing activities.
- To distribute information and display content tailored to the interests and preferences of customers, making it easier to propose solutions that meet their needs.
- To ask for customer opinions to develop better products and services.
- To respond to notifications, guidelines, and other communications from public, national, and local authorities as stipulated by law.
- To respond to customer inquiries.
- To carry out actions related to the above purposes.
3. Management and Protection of Personal Information
Our company implements appropriate security management measures to prevent the loss or damage of personal information provided by customers. Additionally, we continuously maintain and improve these security management measures. The main contents are as follows:
- Organizational security management measures: A person responsible for the management of personal information protection is appointed, and the scope of personal information handled by employees is clarified.
- Physical security management measures: Measures are implemented to prevent unauthorized access to stored personal information and to prevent theft or loss of equipment, electronic media, and documents containing personal information.
- Technical security management measures: Access controls are implemented to limit the scope of personal information data handled by responsible persons, and systems are introduced to protect information systems that handle personal information from unauthorized access or malicious software.
4. International Data Transfer
Our company may transfer, store, and process personal information in countries outside of Mexico for the provision of services and business operations. This includes countries where our parent company, subsidiaries, or business partners are located. In the destinations of personal information transfer, a level of protection equivalent to that of Mexico is ensured. By using our company's services, users are deemed to have consented to the transfer of their personal information outside of Mexico and its processing in accordance with the laws of the respective country.
5. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties
Our company will not disclose customers' personal information to third parties without their prior consent, except in cases stipulated by law, or required officially by an official authority. Except for the information mentioned in this Privacy Notice that is received from dealers, distributors, service providers, business partners, and other third-party sources in relation to the product and/or service in relation.
6. Disclosure of Personal Information
Our company will investigate and respond without delay to requests for disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, suspension of use, and objection of customers' personal information (including records of provision to third parties). To exercise ARCO rights, please contact our company with your name, contact information, and identification documents. The response may take up to 20 business days.
7. Modification of the Privacy Notice
The company shall notify customers of any changes or updates to this Privacy Notice through the company’s website, in accordance with the provisions of the applicable law. Such changes shall become effective on the date of its notification and/or publication, unless otherwise provided by law.
8. Handling of Sensitive Information
Our company will obtain explicit prior consent before obtaining sensitive information such as health status, religion, and political opinions.
9. Protection of Minors' Information
Our company will take appropriate measures based on the law, such as obtaining the consent of guardians, when obtaining and using personal information of minors.
10. Language
This Privacy Notice is available in English and Spanish. In the case of any doubt Spanish version may prevail.
